Two Crystal Springs teens are jailed in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center charged with a string of car burglaries.

Noah Magrette and Zackery Hammond, both 19, are charged with five counts of car burglaries that occurred in the Cedar Grove community between July 31st and August 2nd. Sheriff Mike Ezell says all of the cars were unlocked.

Sheriff Ezell says investigators are trying to determine if several items found Saturday morning were taken from the cars. A resident of an apartment complex on Lemoyne Boulevard found the items scattered in the grass along the fence line. They included two guns, a man’s wedding ring, a pink Apple iPod and a knife.

Magrette was already out on bond for an unrelated car burglaries in 2019. During an initial court appearance Monday for both defendants, Judge Mark Watts revoked Magrette’s earlier bond. Bond for each of the two teens is $125,000.
